The main reason to make money is to buy more time to do the things you love. If you make enough money but then realize there’s nothing you are actually passionate about doing, or no people to share your time with, it can also be a hard pill to swallow.

A few people here have expressed disappointment with their lives now that they have monetarily “made it.” When your goal is money and you achieve that goal, the drive is removed and you need a greater purpose. That realization can be a hard pill when you get there.
